Sensing
yet another Urban Legend in the making this year, I
thought I'd head the stampede off at the pass. Remember
all the hoopla last year over 7-7-07?
Next year, I'd love for one of my readers to give an
explanation for 9-9-09!
Readers
of The Power of time will know that in numerology the
sum of the day, month and year are used to calculate
the value for a given day. So that to know what 8-8-08
actually means, one would have to reduce each value
(day, month and year) to a single digit, then take the
sum of these three digits, so in this case, we have
8 (August) + 8 (8th day) + 1 (2+0+0+8=10, which reduces
to 1). Taking the sum of the 3 digits: 8 + 8 + 1 = 17,
now reduce the 17 to a single digit: 1 + 7, which gives
8. So, August 8 2008 actually reduces to a number 8.
Using
the same approach, we will find that any numbers that
reduce to 8-8-1 will result in the number 8, such as
August 26 2008, August 17 2008, August 26 1981, and
on and on... Of course there are many other possible
combinations that result in a number 8: July 9 2008,
etc... you get the drift, I'm sure.
The
numeric value of a day gives the universal value for
that day, and unless you are born on that day or starting
a business or planning an event with long term projections,
it really does not mean very much. If the numeric value
of a day had global significance, then the day of a
tsunami in one part of the world should result in the
same catastrophic event everywhere in the world. Not
the case.
The
number 8 is associated with all things that pertain
to business: money, vision, power and worldly and material
success. Before you start a business on August 8 2008,
which at first glance might appear like a great day,
given all that promise of power and money, you might
want to take the time to dig a little deeper. Power
of Time readers (Page 174), familiar with the first
Pinnacle Number will notice a number 16/7 influence
covering the first 28 years of life of the business/project.
16/7 is among the numbers that are the least conducive
to material success.
A
final point that needs to be made here is that too much
of a good thing may not, in the end, be a good
thing. As in most projects, business in particular,
a well rounded pool of available resources is essential
to sustained and real growth. An excess of number 8
energy can result in an overly competitive, insensitive
and overly materialist approach. In order to ensure
the success of your business project, you would want
to include some number 2 and 6, for harmonious relationships,
4 for sustained effort, maybe 7 if you require research,
1 and 5 for innovation and creativity and 9 for universal
appeal. Bottom line: a good blend.
As
in all things, look before you leap. With the big picture,
you will be better prepared to deal with all the issues
at hand. Hope this sets a few minds at ease!
