Although the lunar phase by itself will not guarantee the success of your projects, (you still must do the work!), by respecting the lunar phases, you will increase your chances of success in both personal and professional endeavours.

The Waxing Moon Phase

The period between the New and the Full Moon (Waxing Moon, or the phase during which the Moon grows in light) favours the start of new activities and initiatives, getting involved in activities where you expect continuation and follow up. This is where you begin new projects and explore new ideas. Sow the seeds for future harvests at this time.

This is the time to dare to do something new, try something different and to get the ball rolling on a project you've been thinking about for some time. Start new groups and businesses during this lunar phase. Launch a new product or concept during the waxing moon. Start a new health plan or diet, a new job or business.

The Waning Moon Phase

The Waning Moon phase (between the Full and the New Moon, or when the Moon is diminishing in light) favours completion, letting go, and finishing things off. This is not the time to begin new projects, since the energy of the cycle is diminishing and you will be less likely to follow through once the next Lunar cycle begins. Clear your life of unfinished business during now. Unclutter your workspace, do that paperwork you've been putting off for sometime now, or complete any unfinished projects. This will clear the way and free you to take advantage of new opportunities at the next New Moon.

If someone proposes a new idea or project, it may be best to let it simmer until the next New Moon. Many new ideas are discarded or not followed through when they are generated during the late lunar cycle. The New Moon generally brings a new perspective on things, new information and new opportunities. It is best to wait until then for important new initiatives.
